| | Today, Leroy followed me to my first placement interview. He took the tram with me all the way to Camberwell, and when we found that the MCBT Centre was in a housing area, he wished me luck and walked towards the nearest shops... 5 blocks away.
My interview took around 30 to 45 minutes.
By the time I was going to leave, it was dark and pouring out, and the weather was already freakishly cold in the suburbs when we got there... so I could only imagine how piercing it would be.
Walked out the front door and there he was, standing under the porch, waiting for me. I asked him to come with me because I had no clue where I was going, am terrible with directions, and was worried that the fact that I was new to the area would show on my face and make me a little lamb to potential attackers (I'm paranoid that way). He was drenched, and cold, and in a bad mood for most of the ride home... and now I worry he may fall sick because he was in the rain for a lot longer than I was.
But he followed me and didn't complain and worries about me and does the things I ask him to even when I don't make sense. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.
You're welcome to slap the shit out of me if I ever forget it.
